The Camosun College Chargers coaches and student-athletes offer volleyball training for girls going into grades 9 and 10. In addition to learning and refining the fundamental skills of the game in a fun and competitive atmosphere, you will work out with strength and conditioning coaches to combine sport-specific fitness training with volleyball skill development. You will also have the opportunity to do arm-swing-specific training with Athlete Wellness Academy's Mischa Harris.
Our mandate is to grow a love for the sport of volleyball, and that means being in an environment that is appropriately challenging. We place a priority on ensuring all participants are matched with athletes at a similar level. Coaches work with every court to make sure that drills and instruction meet everyone where they are at.
During the course of the camp we will cover all major skill areas and do a lot of game play to reinforce those skills in a dynamic environment.
Supporting the Chargers
This camp is a fantastic opportunity for the young women who play for the Chargers to learn leadership and coaching skills. They are the face of this camp, while being supported by head coach Brent Hall BAET ACD, who is an NCCP certified Performance Coach, and mentor coach.
Funds raised from this camp go to the Camosun College Women's Volleyball Student-Athlete Development Fund
